What is covered under my ata fan warranty ?
Motor – 5 Years Warranty
If ATA Fan Company determines that your ceiling fan has failed due to a defect in the motor material or workmanship, we will provide you with a replacement fan free of charge.* This 5 years warranty applies only to the motor itself. Electronic controls such as handheld or wall controls, control receivers, and electronic components are included in the one-year warranty.
Other Parts – One-Year Limited Warranty
Unless otherwise indicated by ATA Fan Company, if any part of your ATA ceiling fan fails within one year of the purchase date due to a defect in material or workmanship, you will be provided with a replacement part free of charge.*
Light Kits – Warranties Vary
Light kits are included in the one-year limited warranty however, you may qualify for additional warranty coverage if your fan includes one of the following:
- LED Light Kits – Three-Year Limited Warranty
If ATA Fan Company determines that your LED light kit module (not including glass components) has failed due to a defect in material or workmanship and it is within 3 years of the date of purchase, you’ll be provided with a replacement part free of charge.*
- ENERGY STAR® Rated Light Kits – Three-Year Limited Warranty
If your ENERGY STAR rated light kit (not including glass components) fails at any time within 3 years of the date of purchase due to a defect in material or workmanship, we will provide you with a replacement light kit free of charge.
If no replacement product/part can be provided for your fan, we will provide a comparable or superior replacement product/part.
What Does This Warranty NOT Cover? Labor Reimbursements for installation or repair, glass, light bulbs, and control batteries are excluded. Ceiling fans purchased or installed outside the United States or fans owned by someone other than the original purchaser are also excluded.
What is not covered under my ata fan warranty ?
The following is a list that includes, but is not limited to, items not covered under ATA Fan Company’s Limited Lifetime Warranty:
– Labor costs or fees as required to install, remove or replace a fan or fan parts
– Light bulbs (except where otherwise noted)
– Remote control batteries
– Fans purchased or installed outside the Dealer / Retailers with the exception of fans purchased in Company and installed by Company
– Fans owned by someone other than the original purchaser
– Fans for which proof of purchase has not been established
– Fans purchased from an unauthorized dealer
– Ordinary wear and tear and minor cosmetic blemishes
– Refurbished fans
– Fans that are damaged due improper installation, misuse, abuse, improper care, failure to follow ATA Fan Company instructions, accidental damage caused by the fan owner or related parties, modifications to the fan, improper or incorrectly performed maintenance or repair, improper voltage supply or power surge, use of improper parts or accessories, failure to provide maintenance to the fan, or acts of God (i.e. flood, earthquake)
When i opened my box, a part of my fan was damaged. is this covered by the warranty ?
Damages to your fan during shipment prior to installation are covered under the fan’s warranty. This includes the globe and light bulbs. Simply contact us and we will be happy to send you a replacement. Remember to have your proof or purchase handy when you call.
Once the fan is installed, bulbs and the globes are not covered under warranty.
The ATA fan that came with the house i bought doesn’t work. is it covered under the warranty ?
ATA fans have a 10 Years Limited Warranty, which applies to the original fan owner only. The warranty is not transferable.
How do i make a warranty claim ?
To make a warranty claim, Book a Complaint. Be sure to have your fan model number & Serial No. and receipt handy when you loging.
Please do not ship your fan or any fan parts to ATA Fan Company as the delivery will be refused.
Or Follow the instruction on Fan Box or Warranty Card.
If my fan was replaced under warranty, will it be covered under the full warranty ?
When we replaced your fan, you were sent a letter asking for certain parts of the non-working fan to be returned to us. If our files show that this has been fulfilled, then your new fan is covered under the full 10 years Limited Warranty.
Will the warranty cover my fan if the fan finish peels or becomes rusted ?
Salt air is tough on all ceiling fans. Eventually they will rust- even ours! However even in salt air environment your fan finish should last for more than 1 years. Please Book a Complain. if you experience any issues with rust or finish peeling.
To avoid damage to your fan finish, we recommend cleaning your fan using a lint-free cloth to prevent scratching. You can remove surface smudges or dirt and dust using a mild detergent and a slightly dampened cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or brushes, as they will damage the finish.
How can i get a copy of my receipt / Bill ?
For a copy of your ATA fan, you can contact the retailer where your fan was purchased.
Visit the store location for a copy of your receipt up to 6 months after you purchased your fan (you will need to provide the date of purchase & Fan Serial No).
I purchased my ata fan online. is it still covered by the warranty ?
ATA fan products are only covered under the 10 years Limited Warranty if they are purchased new directly from ATA Fan Company, authorized dealers, authorized retailers or an authorized online seller. Pre-owned products purchased online are NOT covered by the ATA Fan Company warranty.
I registered my product. do i still need the proof of purchase for warranty claims ?
Yes, As per our company warranty policy this is required.
